BlazeCut Attains SPCR 183 and SPCR 199 Certifications, Elevating Fire Suppression in Engine Compartments
BlazeCut, a global leader in fire suppression technology, is proud to announce the successful certification of its C Series ILP (Indirect Low-Pressure) systems by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, meeting the rigorous standards outlined in SPCR 183 and SPCR 199. These certifications signify a groundbreaking achievement in the field of fire extinguishment for buses, heavy machinery, and engine compartments with combustion engines.
Developed by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden in collaboration with international representatives from bus associations, transit authorities, bus manufacturers, fire suppression manufacturers, and insurance companies, SP method 4912 serves as a standardized framework for evaluating the performance of fire suppression systems in engine compartments. The objective is to create a model that allows for consistent and objective assessment of different suppression systems under well-defined conditions.

SPCR 183 and SPCR 199 Certification Rules:

1. SPCR 183: Certification rules for fire suppression systems intended for use in engine compartments of buses, coaches, and other heavy vehicles.

2. SPCR 199: Certification rules for fire suppression systems intended for use in engine compartments with combustion engines.
The mandatory UN Regulation UNECE R107 closely aligns with SPCR 183, emphasizing the global significance and applicability of these certifications.

BlazeCut's Dual Certifications:

1. SPCR 183 Certification: Meets stringent criteria for fire suppression in engine compartments of buses, coaches, and heavy vehicles.

2. SPCR 199 Certification: Stands out as the only system passing SPCR 199 extinguishing tests, surpassing competitors using a combination of two agents (powder and foam). This unique feature makes BlazeCut's system more compact, easier to install, and maintain, reducing overall operational costs.

Innovation in Design:

• BlazeCut introduces an enhanced heavy-duty cylinder bracket, developed in-house, to bolster the ILP system's reliability and robustness.

BlazeCut continues to lead the way in advancing fire suppression technology, ensuring the safety of buses, heavy machinery, and engine compartments globally. The SPCR 183 and SPCR 199 certifications underscore BlazeCut's commitment to excellence, setting a new standard for fire suppression systems.
